Business Excercise
hey guys, Today it was a fun day for me. I am so excited right now that i am probably unable to express, well lemme give it a try. Today we had a business exercise carried by Mr Manohar Kamath. The moment I entered my class at 8:30, as expected, I saw loads of enthusiasm on everyones face about the trip. All the 62 students of my class were divided in 31 grps and were given the same task. The task was quite simple and easy - go to a place, Deccan area in Pune, get yourself employed just for a day, work for them, get paid and then come back. Seems to be easy huh.... well it was not!!! Like every other game there were some rules: you cannot spend a single paisa(for transportation, food and anything else) and by the end of the day you should have earned atleast 100 rs. I left the college at 9:40 and luckily got a direct lift from my college to the destined place. I was the first person to reach FC road. I straight away entered a restaurant and asked for the job. After a little conversation that guy their turned me down. This event was followed by 3-4 more rejections but by this time we learned that what people are actually lookin for. We gave up on 3-4 jobs just because of the profile. We wanted to get a profile of business professional and in the end after a long search we got one. The guy named Peeyush, owner of TC's - a HOOKA joint and coffee shop, hired us as a business analysists. We worked their for 3 hrs from 12:15 to 3:15. We took surveys and observed everything carefully that was goin around there. we asked a set of question to n numbers of customer and as per there feedback we developed a report and SWOT analysis for the cafe. The job was really intresting and the treatment given by the owner made it even more comfortable for us. He paid us 100 rs for the job(we didnt asked for more than that) and was totally satisfied with our work. In the end i would say that it was an wonderfull expirience for me and i fee lucky to share this with you guys. Enjoy Neelesh Shrivastava. 1-E,30 www.placid-mind.com |
